2 Systems

Two different systems operate in our bodies “fight or flight” is our alert, survival mode designed to protect us and “rest and digest” is our calm relaxed mode. When we feel anxious, “fight or flight” kicks in but we can trigger “rest and digest” through things like relaxation, time in nature, mindfulness, belly breathing, listening to music or doing other things that we enjoy.
